Customer Reviews
I got the kimchi pork belly ramen and the curry ramen. The kimchi ramen tasted like hot sauce and water broth. The egg in both ramen bowls was HARD boiled. When I asked for a soft or medium egg they refused saying they do them in batches. Not too sure what that means for me but 🤷🏽♀️ Having the egg HARD boiled made the hot sauce broth worse. The kimchi fries were good super crispy. Skip the egg roll nothing special at all and tasted like it was from a frozen box.
I see a lot of reviews about the ramen on here but wanted to take a moment for the sushi because their Salmon Paradise roll is the best sushi roll I’ve had in Chicago! This is one of my favorite takeout spots and I’m so impressed by how they nail both the sushi and ramen sides of the menu so perfectly. Highly recommend!
Great service - our waiter was fantastic! He was prompt and did his job. The sushi and ramen were good. Ramen broth was very flavorful. My ramen serving seemed a bit small compared to what I typically get at other places. The chicken katsu was submerged in the broth instead of set on top. My bowl had less noodles than the 2 other orders of ramen we had. Anything crispy should be placed on top - because there should be more noodles and toppings. Not sure if they are cutting back on the serving size? For $17/$18 per bowl it seemed rather skimpy. Only other negative was the smell that kept creeping out from the back - when I worked at restaurants there is an odor when the sewer / drains need to be cleaned out or when they are being cleaned out - IYKYK. That’s something that either needs to be
Roman provided such amazing service and always checked in to make sure that I was doing okay. All of the other employees were so nice as well! The food was amazing! I would definitely recommend the kimchi fries and the Korean Bulgogi Ramen!
Good for the price point. We had the Kimchi Ramen, but we received meat dumplings instead of veggie… the taste was just like pork and not super veggie forward at all. Not sure if the kitchen got them swapped but we are vegetarian so this was a huge upset. Drink selection was decent, I would just order a different kind of sake next time! Overall, the service was the star tonight, not the food.
