Kafe Tirona

Found this place as I was going to Largo. Reviews seemed good and I was really looking forward to a nice coffee. I walked in an have never felt so unwelcome in a place. Clearly this is a hangout for people who come from another country and they do not want anyone different there. The dislike they had for me was palpable.

I am so excited to have found this cafe with the most amazing vibe, very cozy, they make you feel at home and they make the best Cappuccino in town! I will be coming here every day during the week to pick up my perfect Cappuccino. Thank you guys for being so awesome! Oh and also the customer service was outstanding. Love you guys!

This is the place if you're looking for authentic Albanian style. The coffee is amazing, true espresso. The owners are very welcoming. Come here to feel like family.

On my second visit, someone who appeared to be the owner told me I wasn’t allowed to eat here because I wasn’t Albanian. As I ordered at the counter, the older man told me it’s a membership coffee, meant for people from his country of Albania, and that I could get my tea to go or sit on the porch but I was not allowed to eat inside the store. I understand that having community spaces is important, but achieving that by telling people that they can’t be there because of their heritage is exactly the opposite of what our country stands for.

Just tried to check the place out, based on the good reviews. Someone was loading supplies on my way in. He asked me "what do you want", said I'm checking the place out, he said they're closed. When I pointed out the door sign said 7-10, he said they have a break at 5 (it was 4 pm). Don't know if they have good food/drinks, but they DEFINITELY have bad customer service!
