Kadhai Inc

I arrived shortly after they opened on a Sunday and this place was almost full of diners. They feature a $22 lunch buffet with around 10 items you can choose from. All of the food was fresh and delicious. I loved all of the seasoning and sauces. The tandoori chicken and goat were cooked perfectly. The meats were tender a juicy. There were a couple of parties that called prior and made reservations. The ambience was very warm and inviting. I saw some diners dining alone and many locals. The servers were attentive. My friend and I really enjoyed our dining experience here and will definitely be back to try out their dinner menu.

I really loved this gem of a restaurant. I loved the buffet. The buffet was priced at around $20 with tax. I got an order of Naan or the common Indian bread included. The service was excellent. My waiter was helpful and friendly. I liked the dessert and he showed me where the cup and spoon were for it. It was like Halwa pudding. It was yummy, sweet! I liked the tandoori chicken. The music was Indian drums which are charming. The look of Kadhai, the interior, was of Mughal windows or Arabesque, if you will. But distinctly Indian. It was really an attractive place It is located in the beating heart of Downtown Bethesda. I believe it is the first Indian restaurant in Montgomery County. I thought I read that somewhere online recently. But I'm not sure, ask them.

Absolutely amazing food. The waiters and manager fantastic and very sweet. The price is at perfect market value and the dishes tasted absolutely perfect. Extremely worth the try. The butter chicken has the perfect texture and taste. The lamb was just perfect. Highly recommended.

Now I have been to a lot off Indian restaurants but this happened to be the worst one I have tried. The food looks good but taste awful. The paneer that I ordered tasted as if the sauce was already made and they just threw in the paneer and served it, the rice was burnt, the vegetable breyani was cooked but the vegetables was still hard as if it wasn’t cooked at all, the dhall which suppose to be soft it was hard and seemed uncooked and the paratha would have been great if it was made with white flour instead of whole-wheat. It is my opinion on the restaurant and my experience based on the day that I went to eat there. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Food was nothing special. Quanities were great for the prices! This place has average food, but they make up with the quantity. This restaurant is a bit pricey, especially the non-veg. I ordered the palak paneer with naan for takeout. The naan was a bit thick and undercooked, not a big problem. Since I do not like eating undercooked dough, I had to warm it up a little bit at home. The panner was nothing special either, it had a great texture but lacked salt. So- I had to add in some of my own salt as a result. Will not be ordering the same dishes. Might try something new. Overall, not impressed.
