Customer Reviews
I went to this restaurant with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. We were all very hungry and excited to be together only to be disappointed by food that was not tasty or even visually appealing. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and the chicken tasted like I was eating turkey. It was so tough and dry. I also ordered a sushi roll which tasted good, but the rice was extremely dry, and the roll fell apart very easily, which made it difficult to eat. I was grateful to have a server who was thoughtful and quick, and the atmosphere is pretty cool. I hope we j use caught restaurant on a bad day. Of everyone in the group, I don’t recall anyone being happy with the taste of their food.
Impressed by our first visit here! Jalapeño Poppers were perfectly fried and really good. We loved the Linda roll and Black Rock. Tropical Mango was good but I can imagine it's better when the mango is ripe and can add more balance to the Cajun and lime. Pricing was as expected, avg $19 per roll, though the appetizers were more expensive than I expected.
Such a great sushi spot! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server Zack was very friendly and welcoming! We tried Mango Tango (favorite), Final Fantasy and Oh My God and loved them all! We’ll be back for sure! 😁
Honestly disappointed since the new renovation. Kabuto USED to be a high quality restaurant we would enjoy on the weekends. Now the sushi is disproportional and cut weird. Ramen eggs are just boiled eggs not even the regular seasoned ones. The sushi has gone downhill comparatively. When we mentioned the issue with having a salmon roll and no salmon in the roll the waiter said “I’ll go yell at the sushi chefs” and that was it. Then they got two rolls wrong! We were regulars…. Very disappointed.
Really loved the food here. We got spicy garlic edamame for starters and it was very tasty! For main course, we got the Jammy Special Roll, Mango Tango Roll and fried rice. For dessert, we got the mango and matcha mochi ice cream. Though everything was delicious, my favorite was the mochi ice cream.
