Kabooki Sushi - East Colonial

A very elegant place with a beautiful atmosphere that makes you want to stay. The food is quite good, the drinks are well crafted, and the service is excellent. Although it’s a bit expensive for what is served, since they are tapas, the overall experience makes up for it. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner with your partner or for sharing a lovely evening with friends.

Kabooki Sushi is hands down the best sushi spot in Orlando, in my opinion. Located on E. Colonial Dr. and Maguire Blvd., this place delivers a full sensory experience from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is trendy, modern, and undeniably sexy. They recently renovated and added a sleek bar/lounge area off to the side of the main dining room, which adds to the vibe. I highly recommend making a reservation, as they’re always busy, but honestly, I’m just as happy sitting at the bar and watching the chefs work their magic, it’s like dinner and a show. Every dish we’ve ever ordered here has been superb, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. On our last visit, we enjoyed the Zen, Hawaii X.O., Chill, Yucca Fritters, Coconut Udon Truffle, and Money Bags; each one absolutely delightf

We were told to try out Kabooki. It was absolutely incredible! We got the wagyu hot stone, the carpaccio, and the Hawaii XO. The drinks, Green Goddess especially, were super smooth and unique - some of the best I’ve ever had. Edgar, the manager, is incredible and he and the entire staff created a very memorable and special evening. Fine dining, yet comfortable and friendly.

Disappointed, especially given the expectations. I traveled from Georgia to Florida and specifically went out of my way to eat at Kabooki and make a reservation based on a prior great experience. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to that at all. The drinks were subpar, and the sushi just didn’t taste the same as before. The cuts were unusually thick, and the sauce was heavy and not sautéed, very different from the lighter, more balanced preparation I remembered. Overall, it was a letdown considering the effort made to return and the reputation of the restaurant.

I went for dinner and it was really. We ordered the double tekka and the akami unagi roll. The Akami was my favorite because the eel was really good. We tried the yellowfin tasting, a bowl with rice and pork belly and mushrooms, and a wagu tasting with the hot stone. Our server was Rylan and he was so amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and so funny and charming. Loved this place 10/10.
