K T Seafood Grill

First time in Rusk and stopped here. Never heard of this place but it was open ! No wait, waitress was great, prompt, friendly and helpful. Food was delicious - a little too salty for me - but tasty. The vegetables were done right! The broccoli perfectly bright green and the rest of the grilled vegetables were cooked perfectly - no soggy overcooked vegetables! Great place to stop if you’re ever in Rusk and want something decent to eat.

I absolutely loved this place! I had the Seafood Gumbo and Boudan Balls. The roux in the Gumbo was almost as good as my Grans and she was from Anacoco Bayou, Louisiana! The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the prices were very economical. I will definitely drop by to eat here again!

Vsiting from Alaska, I had the opportunity to eat here, for the military personnel, no military discount, food was good, amount of food you get, I got about a handful of fries with my 4 pieces of fish and coleslaw but I left full, it was a nice place to look around, interesting things on the wall, they must have run out of fish because they brought my last piece out separately, but I fine with that, the receipt they gave me didn't breakdown all the changes separately for taxes.

I just ate here with Husband and Daughter. We were really impressed! I got grilled chicken. It was perfectly cooked. Husband got the red snapper and his was delicious too! Definitely will be back here!

Their fried seafood baskets (shrimp, catfish, oysters) and gumbo have always been good and consistent. Any time we have ordered anything else off the menu though, has been below average and definitely not worth it, specifically the chicken fried steak. Unfortunately there aren't many good options in rusk (lived in rusk 7+ years), but for the last few years we have stuck to the fried seafood baskets at KT seafood. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, fast service. Clean restaurant, including restrooms.
