The atmosphere is very pleasant and upscale. I went here on a Friday afternoon and there were barely any other customers. You could definitely see how big the restaurant is. I got the $20 lunch special with a chicken kabob and mast-o musir. Chicken was cooked well, with slight smokiness and without being too dry. I also liked the seasoning they used and how it wasn’t too overpowering. I tend to be a big eater but the portion size of the dish was very generous. I could barely finish it all in one sitting!
We celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday at Joon, and it was absolutely breathtaking from start to finish. First, complimentary valet parking such a classy and convenient touch. It immediately sets the tone for a special evening. Now the food… where do I even begin? The kabob platter was unforgettable. Perfectly grilled, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The lamb chops were hands down some of the best we’ve ever had tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The falafel was crisp outside, soft inside, and full of authentic flavor. And I can’t believe I almost forgot the lamb and pistachio meatballs those were incredible. Rich, flavorful, perfectly balanced with texture and spice. Truly one of the standout dishes of the night. The tahdig (crispy rice) was golden, crunchy, a
Joon is a beautiful Persian restaurant, and from the moment we walked in, we truly felt welcomed and taken care of. The space is elegant yet inviting, with a large bar area and plenty of seating. The servers are extremely friendly and attentive, making it very clear that your comfort and experience matter. We ordered a mixed platter featuring a variety of Persian kebabs — including beef, chicken, koobideh, and barg — and everything was well prepared and flavorful. One of the highlights was the rice selection. They offer several options, which is such a nice touch: classic saffron rice, herb rice, fava bean rice, and another variety that I can’t quite recall. Each one was delicious and complemented the kebabs perfectly. The pistachio soup was outstanding and easily a 9/10. Made with a chi
Food and service were great! I had the Classic Feast and all dishes were very tasty! My favorite was the Joon French Toast at the end which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Much different than the typical tough Texas toast you typically get. I enjoyed the Dango too, as it was warmed chickpeas, so it stuck out from the other mixes. The braised lamb should was also very good, sometimes when eating lamb I can taste the gaminess, but not with this dish. The expresso martini came with Joon spelled out in Farsi too which was cool! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for Persian cuisine or trying something new!
Mixed review. 3.5 out of 5. Joon was highly recommended by friends and we are fans of middle eastern food - so we were excited to try it. However, overall a disappointing experience. Joon has great potential but execution is making it a mixed outcome. Food was creative and unique flavors - but execution was poor in 4 out of 5 dishes. Served lukewarm and like it had been sitting for a long time. The hummus and lamb shoulder was excellent and well prepared. Service was similar - friendly and trying but just not professional and not at the level of the restaurant price. Atmosphere also a bit odd - not cozy or upscale feeling for Saturday night. A bit corporate and mid level vibe - not what we were expecting. Felt like everything was rushed, mixed quality and low levels of training for staff.
