John's Water Ice

Love this place so much!! The staff is always friendly, which makes for such a wonderful experience. As for the Water Ice and the Ice Cream.... don't even get me started on that. No matter what flavor you get it is always out of this world! I highly recommend going to John's right now!

I really wanted to like the water ice from here but I didn't at all. I ordered a mango and I'm not even sure if I got that flavor or not. I didn't taste it until I was down the street and didn't want to turn back, but I also could NOT figure out what flavor it was, it just tasted like frozen sugar water. As far as the staff, the girls were just ok. I asked what flavor they had and the one girl just pointed to the board. Overall, I will not go back here, plenty of other flavorful water ice places. sorry, i really wanted to like it.

My family and I went to the Philmont location tonight. The 2 young ladies that were working went above and beyond for us. They were sold out of pretzels as it was close to the end of the night. Instead of just saying “we are out”, they both offered right away to make more for us. We never felt that it was an inconvenience in any way! It wasn’t about the pretzels at that point, it was about the gesture and customer service at such a young age. I wish I would have gotten their names because they deserve recognition. One was blonde and one was brunette around high school age. It meant a lot. It was our first time there and due to great service and very good summer treats, we will definitely be back soon! Thanks girls!

They gave me a stale pretzel, and the mango water ice tasted like lemon. I'm unsure if I got ripped or not.

John’s water ice has been the best water ice I’ve known since I was a child. Their pineapple and lemon water rice Do not compare to any other establishment. The fact that they have one now outside of south Philly is ideal. Love this place! It never disappoints!
