Johnny D’s Waffles, Myrtle Beach

Absolutely amazing experience at Johnny D’s! Fast, friendly service from the moment we walked in, and the food was phenomenal. I had the bacon eggs Benedict and it was hands-down the best Eggs Benedict I’ve had in my 37 years — the roasted tomatoes and pickled onions took it to another level. My daughter had the red velvet waffle and said it was the best she’s ever had, and my other daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes which were super fluffy and absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We will 100% be back any time we visit! Highly recommend!

Phenomenal spot to grab some grub at a great price! It’s so good we went two days in a row during our time in Myrtle Beach. The food comes out fast and the service is great! The menu is huge so if you’re unsure, ask your server and they won’t steer you wrong. I don’t remember my servers name but she was wearing a Steelers top. Top flight server! The flavors and portions…. Ahh chefs kiss. I got a chance to meet one of the owners (she was walking by checking on tables). Very personable and you can tell she cares that the customers are satisfied. Love this establishment. They’re doing everything right. Until next time!

Our Server Daphne was phenomenal, food came out super fast, fresh and tasty. The bacon was a little too crisp, we didn't say anything, she noticed it wasn't eaten and offered replacement to go. That's service above and beyond. All the staff is super friendly and very attentive, even the lady that come by after getting our food to make sure that everything met our expectations. Thank you so much for the amazing experience.

I expected so much more after reading the reviews and seeing pictures. The presentation was great , picture perfect , but then it failed. I love Eggs Benedict and decided to try the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict. The pork was overcooked and a little tough and seemed not fresh like it had been precooked and sitting for a while. The Grits were watery and had too much butter and they added a big blob on top to make it worse. Grits should be thick and yes butter , salt , and pepper , but not that much butter. The Banana Coconut Waffles with Chocolate Syrup looked like something at a real fancy restaurant , beautiful. Unfortunately the taste wasn’t there. The waffles were missing something like Nutmeg or Cinnamon to give them some extra flavor. You can’t just rely on the toppings. The Pot

Our friends who live in the area recommend this restaurant. My family and I went on the weekend. Staff was super friendly and made my family and I feel very comfortable. The food was delicious!!! My wife could not stop talking about the chicken and waffles. Friends bought us a coffee mug that they sell in the restaurant, along with other soviniers. Plenty of parking is available. Just had to wait approximately 15min to be seated. Great place to take the family.
