JINYA Ramen Bar - Sugarhouse

Went with a few friends an hour before closing. The host sat us but didn’t give us a waiter, so we waited for 20+ minutes to be served. We had to raise our hands to get the attention of someone. However, our waitress was amazing when she helped us. We got the Tonkatsu black and red ramens, some gyoza, and Takoyaki. All came out in great time and tasted fantastic. Parking is abundant and great at night. The only downside was not being immediately helped. Maybe not a great late night spot if you’re looking for a quality late meal.

We haven't been to this place for quite sometime (used to be their broth is always lukewarm). We decided to give it another and was surprised that all our orders with broth in it were yes, temperature hot 💪 So yes, thank you for listening to your customers. Our server missed some of our orders but must be distracted due to a packed place. The manager took care of it though in a timely manner 🙏

This place beats every ramen place I’ve tried in SLC. The birria ramen is a must try. Our server Tyrone was awesome and really personalized our experience. He went past just telling us the menu and told is what to add to our bowls to elevate them and what he would and wouldn’t recommend for each one. He was very attentive even though the restaurant was packed. I will be going again and I highly recommend

I haven’t been to this location before but I would say I didn’t regret it, it was the highlight of our night I got my two kids with me and Matt our server was amazing and so attentive and nice, the food was amazing we had the spice chicken ramen and the birria ramen, everything was excellent and honestly the reason of the review was the great service Matt gave everything else was just the cherry on top!! Thanks Matt!! My son was so happy you helped us!!

Matt was hands down the best waiter I’ve ever had. His attention to our table was exceptional, and the Old Fashions he made were incredible. His recommendations were spot‑on and genuinely elevated the entire experience. What stood out most was his character—he truly seemed to care about our table and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Service like that is rare. I’d recommend this location to anyone wanting to try it, and I’d absolutely recommend asking for Matt. If he hasn’t received a raise yet, he definitely deserves one.
