This was the most amazing food experiences I have had in a long time. Total 5 star and our server Ilene awesome very professional.
Jinja was a really wonderful experience. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. We got the Citrus Avocado Tempura for an appetizer and the citrus mint avocado flavor was amazing. I ordered the Grilled Sashimi Tuna for my main dish. The flavors of the tuna, jasmine rice, candied ginger, and sweet cucumber all worked so well together and created a really flavorful experience.
Bravo. Every element of this establishment felt inviting, thoughtful, and tasteful. I was greeted warmly. The well designed menu is full of bold choices and comfort foods alike. The drink selection is extensive and delicious, whether non-alcoholic or boozy. Incredible bar staff. I experienced top-notch plating, fresh vegetables, quick service, attention to detail, and teamwork amongst the crew. Everything was emaculately clean. I couldn't order everything I wanted to try so I'll have to come back. I couldn't recommend Jinja any more highly. Having the NBA playoffs on didn't hurt either.
Lovely atmosphere, wonderful customer service, and good food presentation. But when we came here for lunch the food was lacking a bit of flavoring. The rice salmon was our favorite dish. The fried rice I wish it would've had just a little bit more of flavor. The steak was a bit undercooked and still raw on the inside. Overall, the atmosphere is nice.
We’ve rated Jinja four stars across food, service, and atmosphere because it remains a restaurant we genuinely enjoy—but it’s also one that could easily elevate from “very good” to truly exceptional with a bit more consistency. The kitchen is capable of excellent dishes, yet portion sizes vary from visit to visit, and during busy periods plates can arrive cooler than they should or slightly dried out, as if they’ve lingered too long under the heat lamps at the pass. Service follows a similar pattern: generally solid, sometimes outstanding, but not reliably at that higher level. None of these issues overshadow the strengths of the menu or the overall experience, but they are noticeable enough that we hope management takes them seriously. Jinja still offers strong value and a creative Asia
