Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q

Disappointed. I was expecting great things because of the summary. I didn't see it. We ordered two, 2 meat plates that had brisket, ribs, pulled port, and jalapeño- cheddar sausage. The sides we sampled were collars, mac n cheese, baked beans, and slaw. All of the meats were dry except for the pulled pork. The pork was moist and had their unique flavor, but not much smoke. The lack of smoke can come from not enough during the cooking or from keeping it too long afterward. Next best, but dry, we're the spare ribs. We didn't finish them. Besides the dryness, the sauce that was cooked on top of the ribs was cooked too long. Instead of caramelized, it was burnt. We stopped by Jim ’N Nick’s BBQ during a short layover, and it turned out to be such a wonderful experience — especially on Valentine’s Day. Cedric took amazing care of us. He was attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful throughout our visit. Even though we didn’t have much time, he made sure everything was seamless and enjoyable. Cassie, the manager, also came by and shared how their food is made from scratch and truly prepared with love. You can absolutely taste that passion in every bite. She even introduced us to one of their seasonings and gifted us some to enjoy at home — such a generous and memorable touch. For a quick layover stop, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Exceptional service, great food, and heartfelt hospitality. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in to

Food was good I got the Jim’s Combo with pulled chicken and pulled pork. Very moist and seasoned well. I love that they use hard work to cook with which made good smokey favor but not overwhelming. They little cheddar muffins were awesome!!! I got the baked beans, coleslaw and my husband had the ribs with his combo. We also go 6 wings which was very moist and flavorful. I wish they would improve on the drive thru which we waited almost 20 minutes and you get your drinks when they collect your payment, so by the time you get your food your drink is gone or watered down. Staff were very friendly and professional. Would go back again if I’m up that way and have a taste for BBQ. I forgot to take photo before we ate. This combo was $23 and I had enough for 2 meals.

We visited on a busy Saturday and the indoors dinning was almost completely full, drive thru was lined up in 2 lines... We managed to get thru the order line quickly and our food did not take long at all! I was very impressed with the staff. They were very tentative and easy to locate if we needed anything, often checking on our table as they passed by. Food was good and I do suggest you try the loaded Mac and cheese. I was not as impressed with the pulled pork plate as it didn't stand out and could have used a little more shredding from the outside, but it was not bad at all still. Cheesy biscuits are a must!!!

From the first time walking in the door when they first opened. I try my best to come here once or twice a week. John today along with Makayla is reason you would keep coming back. Their hospitality is definitely welcoming. Checking to make sure that my experience is up to standards! Thank you and I will definitely be back!! From the brisket, ribs, bbq, wings, turkey you cannot go wrong with anything you choose! Don’t forget those cheese biscuits. Here are a few pics from my previous visits.
