I have heard about Jim and Connie bakery took the 35 minutes drive to eat some sweets and it was worth it. I brought a big apple fritter and my wife wanted to chocolate cookies.

Jim and Connie’s is a true gem of a donut shop with the best donuts, pastries, and baked goods around. They keep things simple, sticking to classic, freshly baked treats that taste just like they were made at home. No gimmicks, just real, delicious goodies, and plenty of them to choose from. The glazed donut holes are what got me hooked on this place — I’m happy to drive the 40 minutes just to get a bag of them! The owners are incredibly kind and generous, and you can tell they really care about what they do. If you’re in the area (or even if you’re not), it’s absolutely worth the stop!

This is definitely a "meh" type of place. Small town people seem to worship it but I truly believe its just due to tradition or loyalty, not quality. The inside is extremely cluttered with dusty knick knacks everywhere. If you want a sweet treat, don't bring a debit card, cash or check only.

We loved our donuts and cookies served by the kind and friendly gentleman. Made us feel very welcome even though we were out of towners. If you're driving through Blair, this is definitely a great place to stop.
