Nice new place, can't go wrong when the menu has typos :) Mostly good dumplings, the pan fried pork buns were absolutely delicious, and the KungBao chicken were very surprising and flavorful. The hand pulled noodles in the big chicken plate were also delicious. Good XLB. The burger and 3 flavor dumplings were just ok.
I didn’t like the food we got but service is really nice - tomato and cheese dumpling was ok but the dough was delicious so I’d imagine their regular dumplings are solid - spicy XLB tasted like hot pot but of just the spice that I don’t like. It kind of reminded me of leftover hot pot not the starting broth - pan fried pork bao, the filling was delicious but the skin was too dry Chili sauce is delicious
Phenomenally delicious braised beef noodle soup! I’m Chinese and just got back last week from a trip to Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Taiwan. I tried many top spots for braised beef noodle soup in different styles (across the range of clear broth to brown broth). This place honestly bats with the best of them: fragrant, complex, earthy, very rich broth. And the braised beef was so tender too! Surprised you can get such delicious noodle soup in such a large portion for $16 in SF
Summary: the food was good, but not sure I'd come back. + Their signature pan fried pork baos are delicious - perfectly fried exterior and sizeable filling of pork and soup. My only criticism is the price - at $15.50 it's $2-3 more than other restaurants I've been to. ± The braised beef noodle soup was good, nothing special but the beef was tender and noodles chewy (although a little too soft personally). ± Xiao long baos were okay - wouldn't get them again. They are dim-sum style in aluminum cups, which isn't my preference. - Service was meh - only ever checked on when we ordered and when we wanted the check. The restaurant wasn't even half-filled, but the waitress seemed to be busy talking to customers she was acquainted with. I guess you don't come to a Chinese restaurant for the servic
One of the pork/beef burger is made the authentic way as in China. The best I had in America. (肉夹馍) Noodle and bao are also great. All hand made.
