Great restaurant with some delicious food. - cucumber salad was a hit. I devoured it all by myself. - sesame noodles were delicious. Wish they had more peanuts but they had a great sesame flavor - shrimp fried rice was fluffy, eggy, and delicious - garlic green beans were my favorite. Crispy, garlicky and not too oily.

Food similar to dtf however it’s far from it Taste soup dumpling xlb skin is a bit dry and not much soup inside dumplings Portion is quite small for the price. Some xlb only come in 5 pcs Atmosphere and decor looks dated and old and not very inviting Very empty on a weekend Sunday Service is average even with only 4-5 tables less than half full. Biggest downside is portion and price really doesn’t leave much impression for me to want to go back

Bomb!!! 100% recommend. Everything we tried was delicious. We got the Garlic Wings, Cucumber salad, black pepper beef, Beef udon, pork chop fried rice, shrimp pork spicy wonton and Pork XLB My favorite was the pork chop fried rice and black pepper upon. Service was great and supper fast!

Update 02-2026: Portions seemed smaller, but food was still good. Again, it's not DTF, but still good. Jia Yan Dumpling House serves up those famous Xiao Long Bao (XLB) soup dumplings you find at Ding Tai Fung, Thumbling, or any XLB style restaurants, but without the long wait ...and in Pomona! The XLB dumplings were really good and not much different from those at other restaurants. We also ordered veggie dumplings, green beans with garlic and Won Ton soup. Again, all very good, but we all agreed the soup could have been served hotter. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and prices were fair. On a side note, this place recently opened. It's odd that some of the negative reviews were left before the place actually opened. Haters gonna hate, but I'll definitely be back.

Food was average. Portion sizes are very small versus the prices they charge. These 2 dishes combine for almost $30. Definitely not worth the $. 1 exit down at Peyton Dr has much better Chinese resturants at more reasonable prices.
