Jearlina's Ice Cream And Cafe

We stopped here on our way to vacation in Charleston. It's right off the freeway and is easy to see and park at. We try to avoid chain restaurants and stick with locally owned and ran places. Jearlina's checked all the boxes. We ordered a shrimp chef salad and ice cream. Both were huge. The salad was packed into the container, and the shrimp was hand breaded with a light, not too heavy, breading and was crispy, hot and fresh. The lettuce, tomato, carrots, onion and cabbage were super fresh and crisp and the combination with the fresh hot shrimp was insanely good (and bread and butter pickles?! Love it!!). It didn't even need the dressing. Service was quick and friendly, the bathroom was clean and I sure hope we can stop on the way home. Skip the chains and stop here! Soooo good!!

This place was very nice. Coming in and taking to the owner Miss Jearlina is more like stopping in at your aunt's restaurant. And her mama works there too. It's a family owned establishment for real. ❤️❤️❤️

Went here today with the family. It wasn't our first visit, but it has been a long time since we were last here. The food was great - I had a burger with fries, and tried some of the wings too. I also tried some of my wife's onion rings, they were good too. My kiddo had ice cream ( cotton candy and cookie dough ) and really liked it. The lemonade was delicious per my wife and kid. Also the food came out hot and fresh. The service was also great, no issues.

First time here and ABSOLUTELY love the tilapia basket. They coat the fish themselves and it’s the best tilapia I have ever had!! The tea is traditional southern sweet tea so you won’t be disappointed. Spouse had a bacon double cheeseburger and it was so big he couldn’t finish it, and yes he said it was delicious. The portions are huge and the atmosphere is hometown. There was one car in the parking lot but don’t let that discourage you from stopping in. If we’re back in the area again, we’ll definitely stop back.
