I LOVE jdawgs but my most recent visit wasn't up to par. I came Monday December 22nd around 6:40pm and didnt get my food until 7:30pm. A hot dog is a convient food but waiting that long, it looses its convince. They were so busy the bathrooms were neglected and they could not refill the ice due to being so backed up in the kitchen. Once I did get my food it was also burnt on the half that was wrapped out of view. I was disappointed with the wait and quality of food I got once my wait was over.
A great hot dog place for sure! The selections are simple but I like that. It's easy to choose. And the price is great... Two drinks and two dogs are less than $20. They offer as toppings special sauce, sauerkraut, pickles, onions, etc. They also have a great selection of fountain drinks. Very clean too, and I like how there's a place to wash your hands right there ready to get to. The location is good and they have nice comfortable seating options.
Really good! We got both the polish dog and the beef dog. And ordered one with their special sauce and one without. We preferred the no sauce, because the sauce is a bit sweet. Great on the side. The polish dog had a great spice level.
J. Dawgs is like a hidden Jen in downtown Salt Lake City. I ended up trying a beef hotdog and fries and enjoyed the food so much! One hot dog is good if you’re a lil hungry. If you’re big hungry though, I’d go for 2 hotdogs. The store is such a vibe with their wall art and has chair, counter top, and booth seating. The one thing I can’t understand is how they have 1 soda machine with Pepsi and Coke. I’ve literally never seen anything like this before and was shocked (in a good way). If I visit SLC again, I’d definitely stop by J Dawgs again!!
On our last night visiting SLC, we stopped here as we were leaving City Creek Center. My son and I both had the beef dogs and we shared the fries. All was good! The staff were very friendly and courteous. The restaurant was very clean and had comfortable seating. Will visit again when we come back to SLC!
