We’re from out of town, wait was about 10/15 ish minutes and I can understand why. The food was both delicious and the serving sizes were very generous. The live band was lovely. The staff was attentive and very friendly, as were the locals. Got the mixer platter and blackened chicken and mushroom ettouffee. And it had some good heat.
Outstanding fried catfish, shrimp, and hush puppies - delicious. The jambalaya was very good. The service was excellent as Bri was very nice and friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The four piece jazz band were terrific. The jazz music was fun and entertaining. This is one of the few venues that has live music every weekend and is a great place to eat. The atmosphere and decor felt like being in New Orleans. You have to visit just for all the paintings and the eclectic decor everywhere. Outside seating is available too. Highly recommend for a date night on weekends with the live music. Plus the food is tasty.
Great portions, delicious food, and options for kids. We always have a fantastic time when we come here. We usually get the Shrimp Czarina pasta (can be spicy!) and a fried seafood dish.
Honestly, I found the food to be just OK. The atmosphere and service were good. At the time of our visit, there was a live Jazz quartet. Very good performance. Maybe it was the selection, but the crawfish pasta I ordered was not very flavorful. Just a sloppy mess of noodles, tiny bits of crawfish smothered in cheese sauce that had no flavor. The cocktails we ordered were good. Nice place, but our meal was not the best.
Stopped by for dinner for the first time and I'm already looking forward to the next time we can come back! The menu is extensive but the server offered some suggestions to help me decide. Decided on the chicken a la mer and along with the crawfish poboy it was fantastic! Our server was wonderful; friendly and attentive but also gave us plenty of time to make decisions. We went on a Friday eve so we're also able to hear excellent live music. I hope to make this a regular dining spot!
