My first time back at Java Girl since before COVID, back when I actually lived in the neighborhood. The place is still cozy with that slightly bohemian vibe. The coffee is somehow more atrocious than I remember (an impressive feat, honestly). The almond croissant was dry enough to file paperwork with. I do appreciate the “no phone calls” rule. Very civilized. But for the love of God, get a bathroom. If laptops are welcome, bathrooms should be too.

I like this place. Atmosphere is lively but not loud. Pastries are great. They’ve got some holiday tchotchkes for sale. Old school self serve for both coffee and pastries, its almost got the global vintage coffeehouse aesthetic.

Love Java Girl. And will go out of my way, the coffee is excellent, but the ambience is awesome as well. That home style feel, a cozy throw back to the days before chain coffee shops. Love the coffee barrels and ability to buy house coffee beans. Great touch. Love the chairs, bench, outside when the weather is warmer.

Honestly, I love the place and I definitely love the workers that work here. I got an Apple caramel iced latte, I already thought the drink was pretty well made. When I was going to add some sugar on the side, the barista told me that it was a while since she made the drink and that she forgot to add some apple syrup, as there’s already hints of apple in the bean roast, and asked if she could add it to the drink. It caught me off guard, i really didn’t notice the lack of apple in the drink, I thought it was a really sweet gesture. Definitely will come back for another coffee
