Jarrettsville Creamery and Deli

This is a great shop! It's clean, neat and organized. The ice cream flavors are amazing, the baked goods are delicious. I had a scoop of Maple Bacon ice cream and two Royale Cookies (Macadamia, Coconut and Choc Chip?).

The ice cream was pretty good, and I'll come back for it in the future, but I won't buy any deli again. The prices are too high. A regular-sized sandwich, half a sour pickle, and a small bag of chips cost $14.99.

Asked for a fresh thing of ice cream bc it was all but out of ice cream was told yes then the boy proceeded to scrape the walls of the box. $22 for my wife, my son and I. I had zero cookie dough in my cone. Super disappointed with the experience and I have worked retail for 20 plus years. Won’t be returning.

Like many people I love ice cream. All too often what is sold is frozen custard (not a dairy product). The folks at Jarrettsville creamery make their own ice cream (AWESOME). They also have deli counter where you can get a FRESH made sandwich. I live a 90 minute drive from Jarrettsville. Two things I like best are the flavors keep changing and my order is ALWAYS correct. I drive there and get 2 scoops of ice cream and a sandwich to go. I have them leave off the condiments so it doesn't get soggy on the way home. I have the sandwich for dinner later.

We made a visit to the Creamery and did enjoy the ice cream. Afterwards we looked over the other store items and made a number of selections of refrigerated deli foods and other items. This took quite a bit of time since the store is small and I had to wait my turn to look at things. Then I had to wait again in line so long to pay that the other people in my group left and headed for the truck. Finally at the register I was informed that items I had were priced wrong! And I needed to go look for other items. No I’m sorry or anything. Not a good experience.
