Jardines de San Juan Restaurant & Event Venue

We had dinner here and it was very good. I had a chicken enchilada and a cheese enchilada. My husband had a beef tamale and shredded beef taco and our friend had a beef taco and cheese enchilada. My dish was good. The taco was crispy with a lot of chicken. I wanted some spice, so I added some salsa to it. The enchilada sauce was nice with good, rich flavor. My husband m said the shredded beef was really good and the tamale was great.

Came on a weekday and there were plenty of seatings available. This restaurant is pretty big. They have a private dining area by the bathrooms and also have a nice outdoor seating area. Ordered their people's choice award burrito. It's gigantic and delicious except it's on the saltier side. Service is very slow. We got seated but had to wait for a long time (15+mins) before our waitress would come to take our orders. No one came to check on the food or if we need refills on our drinks either. Once the order is in, the food came out pretty fast. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. We had to grab someone to get our waitress to come attend to us. They don't seem to care if we are there. Not good.

We met someone that had been going there for many decades and they said everything was great. There was 7 in our party and we all liked what we had for dinner. Service was friendly and great. We would stop in again if we were ever in the area.

Love this place! We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. It was such a beautiful day the day we came that we sat outside. There were cute little birds to pick up any crumbs that fell on the ground. There were beautiful plants all around. After we ate lunch, we took a stroll around the garden and marveled at the flowers and succulents. What a sight to see! The food, customer service and environment were excellent! We had a very relaxing dining experience.

Arrived on the Saturday night before super bowl Sunday without a reservation. No problem getting a table outside under the heat lamps. My girlfriend ordered the Albondigas (meatball soup) and I ordered the tostada with chicken. The meatball soup was unbelievable! She turned me on to it and it was exceptional! I'm going to order my own bowl next time haha. The tostada was also delicious, I'd say the only negative would be that the grilled chicken was a little overdone. But the taste with the sour cream and guacamole all mixed up was killer. Always a good atmosphere, but for me it's better when people are not letting their kids run around. I love kids, but if you want them running around and swinging on things, you should take them to the playground or teach them how to behave at a restauran
