Janooon Cafe

We stopped by Janooon Café with friends and had a really nice experience overall. It’s more of a self-serve style café rather than a full restaurant, but they still bring the food to your table which was a nice touch. We ordered quite a few things to try, the Anday Wala Slider came as a sub sandwich, which was surprising since it’s called a slider, but flavor-wise it was okay. The spicy chicken sliders came with two buns and were good, though a bit basic. The real winner for us was the Katori Papri Chaat fresh, tangy, and perfectly spiced, definitely a 10/10! The Gol Gappy, on the other hand, lacked seasoning and didn’t taste very authentic, so we weren’t too impressed with that one. One of the best food places I’ve been to in NYC. The biryani isn’t exactly like traditional Karachi biryani, but it comes surprisingly close. It has a nice balance of flavors and feels thoughtfully prepared. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for something flavorful and different.

Very nice and quiet place. Different choices of food will make happy those who know that cuisine. The coffee taste just great, especially the latte and cappuccino as well.

Def recommend coming here for some late night out vibes. The employees were so thoughtful and it definitely showed in the food and drinks they made. The perfect bridge between Pakistan and freshly brewed coffee. Will be coming back for more.

Such a lovely little café! The food is absolutely delicious and full of authentic Pakistani flavor. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The staff are friendly, and the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving great Pakistani food! Always happy to support our local business.
