So first I want to say after all the things we heard and knowing the cost ahead of time, we were expecting a little more “blow me away” than what we experienced. The atmosphere could have been better had the vent hood been running a little higher. Certain dishes caused a great deal of smoke in the restaurant and each time it was prepared my sinuses flared and I couldn’t breath through my nose anymore and just before we left I started coughing from the last batch of smoke. So we both ordered a drink to start out. I had a split rose champagne and he tried the Starmont. The bread was tasty and the butter that we have heard so much about was also delicious. Wish we had kept the butter on the table to add to our bread that came with the 1st course. My boyfriend said he wished he had ordered bee
Phenomenal! We’ve been searching for a place of this caliber for special occasions. Such an amazing experience! It was $270 for two including the still water, two cocktails, and 3-4 glasses of wine. A great price for such a lovely experience. It was about 3 hours, as expected in french dining. Our waiter, Josiah, really tied the whole experience together. He paired wines for my partner and served me a lovely wet white wine that I was able to enjoy. We are going to make it a point to come seasonally. Some seem to have skewed expectations of this establishment, as is clear in a few reviews. This is french fine dining. The french eat very leisurely and slowly. You should not come ready for a plate in front of you immediately. Enjoy the company you have. Not a restaurant for picky eaters. You
Jane’s has become our ‘go-to’ spot for special evenings. We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and take all of our family and friends here. Every detail, from the warm, polished service to the elegant atmosphere, sets the tone for a truly elevated dining experience. On our recent visit the food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was plated like a piece of art and balanced with bold yet refined flavors. You could taste the chef’s creativity and commitment to quality in every bite. The pacing between courses was perfect, allowing enough time to savor without ever feeling rushed. The staff deserves special praise. They were knowledgeable, attentive without hovering, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Their wine pairing recommendations elevated the entire meal and showcased a
This was our second visit and first time sitting inside. The whole experience is just that - an experience! It’s not quick dining but wanted for nothing. Don’t be in a hurry - everyone is cooked to order so if it takes 45-60 minutes then that’s what it takes. The food is amazing, unlike anything else available around here. Eating out can be pricey but this felt like it was actually worth it. It’s very romantic and unique, it’s becoming our special occasion location. Being inside this time was very intimate as the tables are close together. We didn’t hear anything unpleasant from the kitchen, and I think next time we may sit where we can watch the chef. If the weather allows, sitting in the courtyard is also an excellent experience. Overall, we really enjoy Jane’s. The people who didn’t
Absolutely exquisite dinner! First place I’ve been to in Lafayette and I am so happy I drove by. The food was extremely thoughtful, while creating a modern take on traditional French cuisine. The soup I had was just incredible - the most comforting and flavorful starter. It was incredibly smooth, the texture was so admirable. The lamb shake was perfect, falling off the bone and massive in size - you could share it. The sauce was the perfect amount of salty for the pairing potatoes and ratatouille. The dessert also, so comforting and the perfect end. Not too sweet and everything on the dish paired so perfect together. The bread at the beginning of the meal is also perfect - the best butter ever. Cheers to Hannah - she is fantastic. I very much will be back! (To note - the menu is PE
