James Brown Famous Flames BBQ

I drove over 45 miles for this. James Brown, this was your first and your last. We spent almost 80.00 on 3 rib dinners, 1 chicken dinner and a side of okra. Y'all can do better than this for 20.00, then charge me .80 cents for using my debit card for 1 dinner. Never again. It's not worth it. I dont know if they were running out of food or what. I had to stop by Island Choice on my way back home...so disappointed with this BBQ. 3 bones and beans taste like they straight out the can. 😡😡

This little gem is the real deal for flavorful juicy Ribs and chicken. I highly recommend it everything on the menu is a great culinary experience sure to please your taste buds. Super friendly staff and very clean restaurant for dining in or take out. It's truly homemade and quality. My new place for Ribs...

Off the beaten path, came over from the Marriott because if reviews ! Got the dinner combo and it’s great ! Absolutely love there hot bbq sauce the cook makes it himself it’s got white vinegar and cayenne pepper in it , I could drink it 🤣🤣 woofed down as much as I could inside the AC really isn’t freezing but it’s perfectly fine considering it’s 98 outside, come over and support these nice folks there was a steady stream of takeout so everything fresh

Mac and cheese looked and tasted like a brick. Tried to give it to my dogs, had to sweep it up. Do better.

Brisket cooked OK but sliced wrong (my meal was thin like roast beef, and not a 1/4" cut across full length like usual). Honestly underwhelming both in taste and portion size (~2oz) for the $5.50 it cost. I'm surprised at the other reviews for the brisket. Does not rank favorably with Franklin's, Lewis' or Scott's. Ribs however were seasoned well, great ring and perfect color but the pull was a bit too strong. low scores for tenderness around 4/9. In all fairness I did stop in shortly before closing time (7pm) so they like have been in a faux cambro for some time vs. fresh off the smoker.  Approximately $17 total for 1/2 rack ribs and two slices of thinly sliced sad sad brisket. On a positive note, its by far the best BBQ I've had in this town but overall that's not saying much as S
