Jalisco Mexican Grill

I love their Menudo! Of course the Burrito Frito is another fave (4 choices of meat). Wonderful cooks and the food is authentic. Plenty of parking and also seating inside. Great place for young and old.

Sigh, kind of disappointed in our meal today. I decided to try something different and got their “Chile relleno” and I’m putting that in quotes because it’s not even remotely close to a chile relleno. Picture below to show. It’s a pickled jalapeño that was filleted open, and wrapped in a fried egg. Totally not what I was hoping for, as a chille relleno is a different kind of pepper, stuffed with cheese and dipped in an egg white batter and fried. But no worries because I got an enchilada to go along with it, except it was so wet, the tortilla quite literally fell apart and resembled the texture of melted cheese. Not a huge fan of this meal. The saving grace of this meal was the rice and beans, those were wonderful and I ate them with the chips that came along with my meal. I’m not writing

The service and the environment at this restaurant were good. Although the food was not good at all, the chips had been refried and served, the guacamole was not fresh at all and had not taste. The sauce for the chimichanga seemed a can sauce. I have not taste a mexican flavor in any of the meals that we ordered.

Cheese enchilada hardly existed on the plate. It was basically a warm tortilla with cheese on top. No filling. Taco was subpar. l know Montana isn't known for its Mexican food. But most places are a better choice than this one. l wouldn't go back.

Jalisco continues to deliver solid mexican style 'soul food'. Service continues to be the standout; food delivered piping, a smile, and they follow up. May not be as spicy as I prefer, but Jalisco caters to what most Montanans prefer, i.e. large portions.
