Jalapeños Mexican Food

Good place for casual dining. I got the meat combo plate and chose shredded beef. It came with rice, beans, and tortillas. It was delicious. The outdoor dining was on a busy sidewalk, but didn't detract from the food or talking with my family/friends.

Was harassed by the “self professed” manager Gilda Gomez, 1/27, 7:50pm. I Ordered a carnitas burritos but was happily sold their combo of the day with the carnitas burrito. In addition to the rice and beans, I was also given a cup for the fountain. I don’t drink soft drinks. After using the tiny plastic bag (that I was asked to use) to carry some pickled carrots, I proceed to put the leaky bag into the cup that I won’t be using, and capped it so the brine from the carrots won’t leak all over the place. I was stopped by Gilda who yelled that I should not be taking carrots, as they are for tacos only. Of course I knew it was BS. Been going to jalapeños for years. She demanded that if I won’t be using the fountain, I should have returned the cup in the first place. This Gilda is full of BS a

This place has become our favorite for quick serve Mexican. Their carnitas are the best, and even their chicken, which tends to lag most places of the same type, is flavorful. Nachos used to be the last of my choices, but they changed me here, with a generous amount of protein and lots of melty cheese! The reviews from 3 years ago don't apply. Come and enjoy.

Great food. Prices are about market level. Breakfast available all day. Chorizo and egg burrito is top notch. Great Chorizo flavor and balance with egg and refries.

Tacos Al Pastor are still really good. Carnitas torta let's just say was Missing flavor. Salsa bar still not open. Friendly staff and fast service. Good ambient with TV's and plenty of sitting room. Enjoy your visit.
