Jalapenos

This is the greatest (more Tex-mex than authentic) Mexican restaurant in the KC area. Steeped in tradition going back 35+ years. This is a must stop place for delicious burritos, flautas and chimichangas. The white cheese dip is the best anywhere around and the staff is amazing and friendly. The drinks are always ice cold and the margaritas are worth it!!

Love Jalapeños. I appreciate that we, as customers and fans are referred to a Peppers. My chicken burrito was excellent as always. Service was perfect. Never ran out of chips and salsa.

Was greeted and say quickly. Chips are lite and crispy. The salsa that comes with the chips are flavorful yet mild. The spicy is only a little spicy, my mild loving friends could tolerate this. They don't do a taco Tuesday and I think that's a missed opportunity. The beef tacos were stuffed, unfortunately, the meat is not well seasoned. The rice is okay. The refried beans were great! I visited around 1pm and not many patrons were here.

Pros: (1) Very attentive staff (2) Fairly flavorful food Cons: (1) Salsa is one of the weaker salsas in the Kansas City area - it’s basically tomato puree and water

This was the first time my Wife and I have eaten here. We really enjoyed it. It was busy and we had a 25 minute wait to be seated. We also arrived well into the lunch rush so we expected it. I believe we shared the Hombre meal AND had the nacho appetizer. Wow, a lot of good food. We look forward to our next visit when the restaurant capacity restrictions are gone.
