Jakes Burgers

Just stopping in on the way back to OKC. Wanted a quick hamburger from a unique 'fast food' drive thru. Decided to eat in, glad we did. NoT traditional fast food, Jakes is like a diner. A yummy diner. Great apps, great ranch. Fountain sodas perfect ratios and fizzy. Burger poppy seed bun was soft & tender. Not poofy & dry. Menu pushed double meat burgers. I opted for 1 patty. It was filling enough. However, I could see how the bun is made to support 2 patties. Nice and filling. I do wish I asked for well done, I don't like ANY pink. Marshmallow dipping sauce with the sweet potato fries slaps. The most amazing chicken strips ever! Crispy, packed with flavor with nice spice savory flavor. Moist, but we'll cooked. Big portion. I wish I discovered Jake’s sooner. I sometimes meet a friend in Waco (it’s halfway drive for us so that’s our compromise). We’ve been to Freddy’s (it’s pretty good for fast food), Hawaiian Bros (not good - portions were skimpy and expensive), and Chick Fil A (pretty consistent). But I’ve been wanting a little nicer than a fast food counter restaurant. Here is where Jake’s enters the picture. We were seated at a table and had a waitress! We ordered beer and burgers and frito pie - the food kept coming because it was so good, we couldn’t stop eating and enjoying. The service is top-notch; there was 1 or 2 waitresses and they were so efficient with all the guests. I can’t wait to plan another trip to Waco just to watch at Jake’s (oh yea, and to hang out with my friend too lol!)

A nice little restaurant on the side of the Interstate. The restaurant was clean and seating was quick. My server, Jasmine, was attentive and checked on me several times to make sure I was good. Had the monzarella cheese sticks. The original burger, and tots. All came out hot and had good flavor. I will revisit to try other menu items.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Fast service, excellent food! I had the Works burger and my wife got the B.L.T. Both of us got fries and were happy. Fries where almost cooked too much but still good. Rest was just right.

This was such a cute, easy lunch spot and the food was great! The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was rich and not too spicy and the burger is worth the stop. ALSO best strawberry shake in Waco!! The food wasn't greasy but had the fun dinner vibe to the meal. The weather was perfect for enjoying the patio!
