Jackson House Bed & Breakfast

Stayed here for an overnight trip locally. Tried to check in a little early and was too early. Damon was very friendly when he greeted us. We went for lunch and returned later, then were able to check in. The location is very quaint, backing up to a lovely trail and a set of train tracks for the local sightseeing train. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. We chose the larger room with a sitting area. The bed was very comfortable and adjustable. I also booked a surprise for my wife with the Romance package, which included fresh chocolate-covered strawberries and sparkling cider (since we can't have champagne). My husband and I came into town for a wedding Nov 8, 2025 in Fawn Grove and saw this BnB and I were so excited to find it! The host was extremely accommodating and an excellent cook making each breakfast with different ingredients every morning. We stayed in the Daisy Montague room on the 3rd floor and it had an adorable claw foot tub, hair dryer for use, had a fun little skeleton key to lock the room door, bed was electric and allowed you to elevate your head or feet to your liking, very comfortable with extra pillows and blankets! Hot tub was very clean and hot and open at all hours of the day/night for use! Entire place was immaculate and had many vintage items that fit in with the 1850’s allure to the property. We had a great stay at the Jackson House B&B. We stayed in the Rail Trail Room and it was very cozy and literally right next to the trail. Damon provided a very good breakfast and coffee, tea etc always available in the lobby. The morning we were leaving our car battery was dead and so thankful Damon could give us a jump start. Enjoyed our stay, biking the trail and the area.

I was looking for an out of the way location to celebrate my wife’s birthday, one not too far from Bel Air, MD, and near Pleasant Valley Golf Course. I found this place, in “Railroad PA (which I’d never before heard of), and it was a delightful experience. We stayed two nights, Weds & Thurs, 8/27 & 28, 2025, guests of Amanda and Damon. We stayed in the “Stonewall Jackson” room, very spacious, great bed, and great shower. This was the only room on the 2nd floor, across from a large sitting room. In fact, it was like having our own private living room : ) . ||Our two breakfasts were nicely presented, and while we are not fans of poached eggs served the first morning, there was enough of the rest of the breakfast. I highly recommend staying at the Jackson House Bed & Breakfast especially if you will be biking on the rail trail. It is right on the trail. The room had excellent air conditioning and the room was very comfortable. The bathroom and room had been recently upgraded. Very clean. The highlight of course was the breakfast! Quality ingredients and absolutely delicious. If you have dietary restrictions be sure to let them know. They are happy to accommodate vegans, vegetarians, lactose intolerant, gluten-free, etc! Very friendly and we felt right at home. The Rail Trail room has a separate ground floor entrance right off the patio. Other rooms have access via stairwell. Great places to eat at Seven (sports bar), Vortex (brew pub), and Bonkey’s (ice cream) nearby (not walking distance).
