I would give 10 stars if I could. 5 adults on vacation and we ate at a LOT of restaurants in the area: Jack's Shop Kitchen is the best. I'm not kidding; and some of the other spots I wholeheartedly gave 5 star reviews. Great food. Seriously, each one of us ordered something different from their menu, and every meal was delicious. I can confidently recommend everything. Prices, staff, ambiance, decor, service, cleanliness -- all great. Menu items were unique, while still delivering all the tasty familiar comfort cuisine. If you are anywhere in the area . . . anywhere in western Virginia, I suggest eating here.

Wow! Wowowow! Such delicious food. Everything on the menu looked phenomenal. I got the fried green tomato BLT and a cinnamon roll (who can pick just 1 thing?!) and wish I could eat here for every meal for the next 6 months

We have found our new favorite restaurant!!! (I’m not kidding.. we will be bringing any celebration, family visiting, or just casual Tuesday night to Jacks Shop. This was one of the best meals we’ve had since we moved to Charlottesville a year ago. We got the their Smoked Trout Spread… this was one of the best spreads and pita I’ve had. The mussels and fries blew me away… the sauce, flavor, deliciousness… SO GOOD. For our mains we got the Roasted Chicken and Special (Shrimp and Scallop fettuccine) This was some of the most fresh, flavorful, delightful we’ve ever had.. Their pasta tasted like I was sitting in Italy. The chicken was perfectly cooked my fiance wanted to go back the next night. The inside of the restaurant is modern, cute and has the best service!!
