Jack’s Shack – Chicken Done Right! Saw the sign that said “Chicken at its Best” — and they weren’t lying. I love broasted chicken, and this was some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were spot on too. There was only one bartender working, but service was still great! Clean, friendly, and even a little shelf with toys that kept both our almost-3-year-old and our 11-year-old entertained. Overall, a great experience. If you’re passing by — don’t hesitate. Stop in!

You gotta to be in the mood for comfort food. A neighborhood bar and restaurant. Chill and have a drink or appetizer and wait. Took a while for the food to come but it was hot and cooked to perfection. Not chicken sitting out all day under a heat lamp. Made to order. We had the chicken dinner. Great. Loved it. You can choose all white meat mixed or dark. Potatoes are real. That’s a big deal none of that powdered fake stuff. I liked the Cole slaw. Was stuffed. BTW. Place was clean. Bathroom clean

My family has been coming here for 40+ years. The new owners have kept the best parts but brought in some fresh menu items and cleaned the place up a bit. The broasted chicken is to die for, solid craft beer selection too. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend you stop in!

Nice stop on the way up north. Good sweet potato fries. Fish sandwich was big! Club sandwich was a little dry but still tasty.

Awesome little hole-in-the-wall bar with amazing food! Stopped on the bike on our way home from a weekend in Grand Rapids, I ordered a BLT and a bloody mary (the husband didn't order anything cuz apparently he wasn't hungry, his loss LOL ) my BLT came fast had a pile of perfectly crisp bacon on it and fantastic homemade chips! The Bloody Mary even came with a cute little mini Miller High Life lol! Everybody was raving about their broasted chicken I wish I would have gotten it! it looked fantastic! We will definitely be stopping back next time we're in the area :)
