Jack’s Cafe and Market in River Vale is an absolute local gem! Chris and Edward were incredible—their friendly service, attention to detail, and welcoming vibe made the whole experience unforgettable. The food was phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best in the River Vale/Westwood area. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or something quick from the market, everything feels crafted with care. If you’re in or near River Vale, Westwood, Hillsdale, or Montvale, do yourself a favor and stop by Jack’s. I’ll definitely be back!

What a surprise to find this wonderful cafe! I was so excited that they have an entire separate Vegan menu!! I had the Scrambled Bowl which came with Vegan Thrilling Bacon, sourdough bread and a fresh cup of seasonal fruit. It was absolutely delicious!! 💞 We also got a side of Vegan faro salad which was savory & refreshingly sweet with basil, pear and crunchy candied walnut. All the food I ate was a treat for my tastebuds. Chris is proud and personable & he guided me toward a very memorable vegan delight of a meal. Also, pictured Steak & eggs breakfast that was ordered at my table. Friendly atmosphere and very fun, little gem of a cafe. The food feels special. It’s a unique, little spot. Go & you will see for yourself.

So glad I finally made it in to try and I’ll be back soon for waffles. You can sit outside to enjoy beautiful weather. We used to go to their Westwood restaurant so I knew that the quality and taste would be great. And now they have vegan options. This photo is of the vegan chickn sandwich- so flavorful. My husband had a traditional burger and we were both very happy.

Drove over 30 minutes to come here for my birthday breakfast and it was a complete waste. My girlfriend’s vegan “blueberry pancakes” had blueberries thrown on top instead of cooked into the pancakes. Both orders were disgusting — severely undercooked, raw, and doughy in the middle. I took one bite and left after spending nearly $40 on food that was completely inedible. Unacceptable quality.

I’ve been a fan of Jacks Cafe for years!! From the breakfast to catering they always knock it out of the park! The food,service and atmosphere is always top notch! Some of my favorite foods are the Cheese Steak,wings and any of the eggrolls and or sliders! You will not be disappointed with anything you get from jacks!
