People saying "it's just a gas station" have clearly never been inside. It's a restaurant - and a damned good one. Everything I have eaten here has been inexpensive, hot, fresh, and damned tasty. I highly recommend the cheesesteaks, the meatball sub, and the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich - all are just first-rate. This has become a regular place for me to go for a meal.

Great food, the sandwiches are amazing! The crew is awesome too, super friendly and just good folks. Get the pastrami and cheese!

Me and my husband are from Erie, PA and stopped here while vacationing in Maine on our way to Kennebunkport. The buffalo chicken pizza looked appealing so I got us a slice and it was AMAZING. I agree with another reviewer, the pizza is better than pizza shops that specialize in pizza!! We eat our fair share of pizza, and loved so much we stopped on our way back to grab a pizza to take back to where we were staying. Great hidden gem. Staff was also super friendly which was wonderful!

This place is a classic Maine variety store with a limited selection of snacks and groceries, beer & wine, and fresh pizza and sandwiches. I popped in on a whim and got a fresh slice of cheese pizza, and was frankly astonished by the quality. The dough was chewy with a little crisp to it, the sauce was decent, and the cheese mixture was really tasty. Just the right amount of grease, too :) Everyone was friendly and down to earth, and, again, the pizza really blew me away. This place reminds me of the corner stores I went to growing up in Maine. I will definitely be back.

I was driving around with my wife and 3 kids and ran out of gas right near J brothers Variety and I left my wallet at home, the owner was so generous and offered to fill my gas tank and said I can come back and pay. He also offered me a free sandwich. I’ve been hooked on the sandwiches ever since. The store is so clean and they use the freshest ingredients, highly recommend for gas and quick bite
