Izzy’s Cocktail Bar

What a treat! Met a friend here for dinner tonight and we had the nicest time. Had great cocktails, split a few bao buns, hand rolls, and other apps. Service was great and explained all the things we weren’t familiar with on the menu. It truly was an intimate dinner and I can’t wait to come back again!

Izzy's is my Fri night go to after getting off the train. James, Brian, Justin and the rest of the crew provide a warm welcome and great service. The hand rolls are excellent! It's really noisy and space is tight, and every once in a while I meet someone new for an interesting conversation. And it's just fine with everyone if I roll up with my New Yorker magazine for a quick bite on the way home!

There is one woman in particular who works often here as a server / bartender and perhaps even part owner who is very loud and rude when interacting with customers. She has interacted with us on a few different occasions and we were all turned off by her as she just seemed bothered by every question we asked her That being said all the other servers are great and the rolls are amazing..

The food is phenomenal! They melted in my mouth in a heavenly blend of flavor. The cocktails hit hard and are deliciously unique. Yes I’m buzzed while writing this and I’ll do it again! The staff is super nice and well informed if you don’t know what to get. The music’s vibes may seem odd at first, but then it helps ya feel comforted like you’re in a boozy, comfortable hot spring outside of Philly. This was a superb first impression, and I’m sold. I don’t know what my price is yet on my check but I can tell you it’s worth the price! 5/5 will eat here again!

Frequent eater @ kazunori/mari.ne nyc/handroll restaurants in general so I was excited to hear about a new spot in the philly burbs area. Went earlier this fall during their soft opening week. They were definitely still working out the kinks but it was understandable (food + drinks came out a bit slow but, again, understandable for week 1 of their opening. Not to mention it was really busy). Handrolls were good, nothing real special or outstanding, but I still enjoyed it. Would love to see more variety of handrolls here. I particularly enjoyed the chunky cucumber appetizer/snack, so I'm going to have the disagree with the bitter critique of "Em--y" from a few Google reviews ago (yes, the cucumber pieces were larger in size & were cut up in a bit of an erratic way but, in a sense, it seemed
