Ivar's Seafood Bar

I love Ivars, and is a special treat for me. Never had any complaints until now. I know their prices are very high. The fish was to hard and crunchy. It cost me for 2 meals 74$ that also included 6 extra pieces. I was so disappointed. Called manager, told her about it, and she ended up giving me 2 replaces meal. Thank you Ivars for taking care of your customers.

The food is always decent, my favorite is the clam chowder which is always really good and always Hot. The employees that run the register have always be great and very nice and respectful and always smiling and seems like they like their job. I go hear often and always have a good visit.

Stopped in to get some seafood. We all got a little something different and everyone was happy. The clam chowder was super tasty. The jumbo prawns and chips hit the spot. The fries weren't anything special, butthe seafood was good. Served hot and quickly

Its sad how far Ivar's has falled down the ranks. It used to be an amazing place for fish. They were big pieces perfectly cooked. Last time I was there one piece was only as big as my thumb and they were calling that "a piece of fish" when it really just looked like a left over. The tartar sauce was the BEST ever. Seems like their recipe has changed. Overall, it was just disappointing.

We had the 5 Piece Fish 'N Chips Original recipe since 1938! Alaska true cod served with French fries. Loved the fish, the fries had be cooked a little more until golden. Also had the Clams & Chips. Amazing clam flavor and perfect texture. Highly recommend these. The slaw was just so so. I would go back for the fish and clams. We did get them to go. So I am sure they steam on the way home. The staff was great and accommodating and patient for a first timer. Very clean establishment.
