Italian Village Pizza Ridge Road

Best pizza around. When we moved to Pittsburgh, we ordered 5 different pizzas from 5 different places on the same night. We selected our winner and then later did it again with 4 different shops and our winner. Out of the 9, Italian Village on Ridge Road was our clear winner. We've tried other Italian Villages, but none have been good. Must be something with these owners and their shop, but it's excellent. Love the food and the owners.

There’s a sign on the outside that says something to the effect of “We’re different from those big chains for a reason. Come inside and find out what it is!” Inside I saw three or four employees working like hell to make and serve the best food they can to the people of South Park and surrounding areas. If this isn’t the reason, the result is - the food. We ordered cheese stromboli, fries, and cannolis. The stromboli was phenomenal. It smelled JUST like Auntie Anne’s pretzels. It would’ve been even better with garlic but that isn’t a topping option. The fries were amazing and my girlfriend wasn’t crazy about the cannoli shell but I loved it. We both thought the sprinkles were a really cute aesthetic add-on, and we haven’t seen that before at any other pizza place.

New review 1/11/26: The Sicilian pizza continues to be a great choice. Always tasty and hearty. Just the way we like it. This is our go to place for stromboli. It's always great. Tonight we had the scicilian pizza with pepperoni. It was great, tasty and crisp.

Food is always consistently good. The owner hustles because he is always there and he puts in one hell of an effort to it a good experience, same as significant other, and it shows. They immediately greet and acknowledge you when you walk in, every time. My wife, who is from NY, is very picky about pizza and this is the only place near us she'll eat, that says something.

I got takeout. There were 2 women working. They seemed to be enjoying work. Telling stories. The pizza has more cheese than other Italian village pizza that I've had. Very friendly I enjoyed the lunch special. 2 slices and a beverage.
