This was the old Wok n Roll! One of my all time favorites. Still excellent food. Delicious flavors, generous portions and reasonable prices. Walking around is great from the Omni.
Great sushi. Lovely owners. It’s a bit bustling on the inside, so if you’re looking for a “relaxing” inside dining experience, I wouldn’t put Isshin in that bucket. The sushi is consistent and the rice on the outside is very thin (my favorite). The Isshin roll is a classic non-complex roll with salmon/tuna that I find filling (they do 6 piece rolls rather than 8, but the fish amount makes up for that). Lunch specials are good - 2 rolls and miso soup for ~$15.
very nice sushi spot. good lunch special for 13.95 where you get 2 rolls and a decently sized miso soup. i loved the spicy tuna roll. good amount of spice and nice and crunchy. i didn’t like the philadelphia roll as much. good fisj but a little too much cream cheese. the service is great! the waitress was so sweet and attentive. nice interior and the bathroom has nice renovations. a bit small so it can get a little cold when people are in and out. good spot! will definitely be coming back again
Not only is every dish delicious, but the service at Isshin is so warm, so welcome and so lovely. Secret menu item is the handmade dumplings (they have two types so ask for these specifically). Their miso soup is very rich but not overly salty, which can be difficult to find, yet it is here daily and for a good price. I’m particularly in love with their udon noddles, which I get vegetarian with tofu, and the veggies are perfectly crisp. Their sushi rolls are fresh and I never get the seaweed burps. They know us when we walk in and make my wife and I feel like family. Become a regular, it’s worth it.
Legit the best Thai Tea I’ve ever had. The service and atmosphere were amazing, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was so good. Definitely recommend for a good spot to eat in dc especially since it’s in such a cute town.
