Islas on the Square

It's hard for me to be impressed by most restaurant experiences. Especially in the last several years. Being a passionate cook and foody myself, I tend to be very particular about places I recommend. So when I am introduced to a place like Islas, I am just compelled to share. My wife and I went to celebrate our 26th anniversary. Every dollar spent was well worth it. Not just a dinner, but a great experience. Cocktails = perfect / Oysters = hard to believe we have these options here. Pink Moons were so silky and delicious! / Sea Bass = Amazing! / Risotto = could be the best we've ever had! PATRICK, you were excellent! Recommendations and descriptions were on point! Thank you. We will be back!

This experience turned out to be more surprising than I anticipated—in a good way. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The restaurant had a lively, fun atmosphere, and the service was truly exceptional. That said, I do have two complaints. First, the lobster Roll wasn’t worth ordering—it fell short compared to everything else. Second, the music felt completely out of place. I don’t mind EDM-style tracks, but we came for dinner, not a rave. The soundtrack really threw off the vibe and put a damper on an otherwise great evening.

Isla’s is unmatched in every category. Let’s start with the food and drinks - I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad thing here. From something as simple as fries to their lobster rolls or ravioli, it’s all done to perfection and made with top quality ingredients. The desserts are also to die for! Their cocktails are unique and fun, as well as, absolutely delicious. The bar takes pride in putting out the best looking and best tasting drinks in the area. Their espresso martini is a must try. Next, the service. If anything could top the food and drinks it’s the service. I’ve never met a more attentive (and fun) group of people. The servers are always kind and accommodating and the bartenders make sitting at the bar an experience like no other. I’ve never had a less than wonderful interactio

Delicious lobster rolls and perfectly cooked oysters on the half shell! Disappointed the steamer was down so no steamed oysters, but the amazing espresso martinis (too many to count!) made up for it. Great food, great drinks, great night.

Islas offers an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE on the Spartanburg food scene. Our server, Joshua, ensured our evening was SPECTACULAR, providing personalized service and recommendations. The food was some of the best we've had in the area. Everything, from the oysters to the main dishes was delicious. The cocktails were the perfect accompaniment to the meals. We absolutely LOVED Islas, and would highly recommend to anyone.
