Island spice

Every visit is full of tantalizing flavors, great conversation and leftovers as portions are large. I'm so excited that they are adding beer and wine, and will be serving in April if not sooner!!! I didn't know what blazing cuttlefish was until I trued it months ago with a friend, it is a favorite now for both of us! Sauteed peppers and red onions and spices and cuttlefish, which is calamari cooked in a sauce like nothing I ever had tasted before. The curry and their biryani are delicious as are the lentil fritters, the chicken rolls, tuna cutlets and the noodle dishes!

The food is so fresh. We'll seasoned and just the right amount of spice. This places is clean and the owner is a doll. Her and her team are amazing. I got the Chicken Noodle Platter it is my favorite. Yum yum

It is extremely rare that I would consider writing a review. However, Island Spice warrants the exception and the acclaim. After reading exceptional reviews online, we were enticed to visit the restaurant. We were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that immediately set the tone. Jonathan, the server, was outgoing and attentive. The food was truly exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented, highlighting vibrant and authentic flavors. The spice level was perfectly balanced, bold and memorable without being overwhelming. As we visited during an off-peak time, Dee, the chef and owner, graciously came to our table and shared her personal story and the inspiration behind the restaurant. I recently picked up a to-go order of chicken biryani from here and it was a fantastic meal. The portions were generous, and the chicken was incredibly tender and well-seasoned, making for a high-quality takeout experience. While the spice level definitely had a serious kick to it, the depth of flavor was excellent and kept me coming back for more. It is a great spot if you’re looking for authentic, bold flavors that hold up perfectly even after the drive home.

I’ve been wanting to try Sri Lankan food for a while, and since this restaurant is nearby I was excited to order from here. However, the confusing part is the opening hours. On Google Maps it shows one schedule, but on Uber Eats it shows completely different times, I think it would really help customers if the business could update and manage the hours consistently across Google, Uber Eats, and any other platforms. Clear and accurate hours make it much easier for people who want to try your food.
