I’d give this place a 10/5 if I could. We all absolutely loved our food, service, and atmosphere. The grouper sandwich was fantastic . The ribs also looked good and I heard they were fantastic as well. The pulled pork looked okay but heard it was good. Good drinks as well! There is usually a wait, but it’s worth it. Parking had complementary valet. I felt compelled to tip still. No bugs and nicely ventilated with fans

I went on an unusually chilly day and the place was still packed with happy customers! Food was excellent and so was the overall vibe! I have been here numerous times and never leave disappointed. Casual fun and perfect service. Great grouper sandwich which I ordered blackened. Cooked perfectly and very fresh. Highly recommend checking out this gem. Great for bringing visitors. Plenty of parking and they also offer valet.

Probably one of the better restaurants of this genre left in the country. Impossibly well priced, actually $25 for their grouper sandwich(as of 12/22/25) is one of the best deals you will ever find for what may arguably be amongst the best grouper sandwiches you will ever find. $13 drinks, most apps in the $15 range. Ultra-low prices in a relaxing atmosphere and island vibe. It’s difficult to justify some of the pricier joints knowing they won’t be as tasty and satisfying. Casual atmosphere, very nice employees. Justin was my server, well mannered and proficient. You’ll be a lot happier here than the hundreds you will spend elsewhere for a meal you won’t enjoy as much. I highly recommend it.

A lively, fun place and one our favorite spots for food and drinks. Everything is delicious! Love the Strawberry Lemonade (they do sneak up on in you 😉). Worth waiting for a table, just grab a drink and listen to the music and enjoy while you wait!

When we lived on Marco Island. The Island Gypsy was a regular stop for a beer or two after a long workweek. We haven't been there in 6 years, and this time took friends to dinner. The fish sandwich was amazing and they advertise it as Grammy's fish sandwich. That's a Grammy that knows how to make a great sandwich. The ladies both had Grouper sandwiches and both loved them as their plates were clean. The beer is still cold and our server was very attentive, especially as they were almost fully packed. Highly recommend trying the Island Gypsy.
