Island Central

My wife and I travelled from Elmont, Long Island to try this Filipino restaurant, Island Central. It only took us 1 hour to get here. The welcoming and hospitality were much appreciated. Our server Shane and the owner were very attentive to us. The service and the food was A-1 perfect 👌. We ordered the food platter, fruit milkshakes and their superb Halo-Halo for dessert 🍨. We met very pleasant patrons and the vibe of this restaurant is splendid. The decor took us back to being in the Philippines 🇵🇭. It's beautifully decorated and has a great ambience. We celebrated my niece’s birthday with family, and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Everything was served on banana leaves, and the rice was creatively arranged with her name. We enjoyed eating with our hands the Filipino way, which made the meal more fun and special. Overall, it was a wonderful celebration with great food and family. 🎉

I had a great experience with my partner’s family birthday dinner. Traditional atmosphere of Filipino cuisine and hospitality. The food was better than I expected and I definitely would comeback with more friends and family. Live music was great, but too loud for a small venue. I perfer a small intimate setting where we can have a conversation. Otherwise a must go!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Island Central. The grilled dishes were tender and flavorful, and the servings were perfect for sharing. The relaxed atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable.

We came for the Kamayan experience and we were so surprised with how fresh, delicious, and plentiful it was. The quality of the food stood out that you could tell it was cooked to be delicious and not to just get you full and make profit. The staff were personable and attentive. Aly and April took great care of us during our dinner. We will be coming back again 100%. I hope to see this restaurant succeed and eventually open more locations.
