Meal: Dinner Day Visited: Thursday Budget: $50 Closest Station: Columbia Heights Reservation Needed?: No Payment: Cash; Credit Kid Friendly?: Yes Coming from Japan where we enjoy some great Korean Barbecue, we were a little concerned about Iron Age. Our expectations were exceeded. We enjoyed our meal and left happy. Fixed price buffet. Happy Hour from 3:00-6:00 PM.
We had an amazing experience tonight and a huge part of that was our server, Alex. Our table had a lot of questions about the sake and soju options, and instead of giving quick answers, Alex kept coming back with more information and thoughtful guidance to help us decide. It was clear he genuinely cared about helping us find something we’d enjoy. He was attentive without hovering and somehow always seemed to anticipate what we needed before we asked. Our group is made up of bartenders, so we notice good service when we see it — and Alex absolutely nailed it. He helped turn a normal dinner into a really memorable evening. If you go, ask for Alex. You’ll be in very good hands.
Iron Age in Washington DC is one of the best all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spots around! 🥩🔥 The meat quality is great, the dipping sauces are delicious, and the service is fast and friendly. For the amount of food you get, the price is totally worth it. Highly recommend if you love KBBQ! 😋👌
We were visiting and decided to grab lunch at Iron Age with my sister's boyfriend, and wow- what a great choice! This all-you-can-eat KBBQ spot is an experience from start to finish. The grill was sizzling nonstop, the meats kept coming, and the sides made it feel like a full-on feast. What made it even better was the variety-being able to mix and match flavors and cook everything right at the table made it fun and interactive. We definitely didn't leave hungry (pretty sure we all hit that "just one more round" stage more than once). For a casual lunch, it turned into such a memorable experience, and I'd go back in a heartbeat next time I'm in town.
A fine experience. Went there around 5 pm, was told to wait 5 min despite the restaurant being almost empty. The meat was good. Liked the salad WITHOUT the sauce. : )
