Irene's Cake & Candy Supply

I was absolutely disappointed in the cookies I ordered and was too embarrassed to set them out for the bridal shower I was hosting. They looked they were thrown together by how sloppy they looked. She did give me money back on some of the cookies, but once I had a chance to look at all them at the venue, I should have told her to keep them and give a full refund.

We love Irene's Cakes, but this year's cake just wasn't what we were used to when we order from her. The writing and whole cake is crooked. I was rather embarrassed to serve it to our guests. Normally her cakes are delicious but this year it was dry- with the texture of a sponge. I also ordered a Strawberry filling and the cake we received had no filling. For $36, I just didn't think it was up to par. We love you Irene- you're a super sweet lady. We just didnt care for this years cake.

Although I think this is a kind of cute cake, it isn't really what I asked for. I called three months in advance and sent a video in of what I was wanting to ensure it should be done. I asked how early I should order it to ensure they would have plenty of time to make what I wanted. when I picked up the cake today I was disappointed. the basic idea of what I wanted was there, but nothing like the video I had shown. And I don't like that the Burn away was not done properly. The top photo and bottom photo shouldn't be the same, that defeats the purpose. The cake itself tasted okay though.

Any excuse we get to order an Irene's cake, we do. The quality is always good and she is reasonably priced. I will just drop by for cupcakes some days because the craving hits. Her candy is good also but the cake is to die for!
