The best items in my option was the King Salmon, which was cooked to perfection. Seasoned nicely, crispy on the outside, moist and flakey on the inside. The prime rib on the bruschetta was tender, warm and nicely balanced between the crunchy yet soft bread. These two items were my favorite. The mushroom soup came out hot, but flavorless. The Niman Ranch Pork Chop was dry, the Dixon Ranch T-bone was gamey and risotto was cooked well, just needed a bit more seasoning. The service was there and very friendly, but not very attentive or efficient. I would ask for one thing and I could see them doing a bunch of other tasks before getting back with my request. We visited on their soft opening and were so impressed with our experience! The Staff were welcoming and with a professional attitude. They made our dining experience the best it could be. The food was exceptional...finally a fine dining experience in Elk Grove! We started with a beautiful bottle of wine, shared a few appetizers which were plated beautifully and tasted amazing. The food took awhile but we understood the Staff Training and a full house. Our servers were all attentive and checked in to keep us informed. The food arrived and was not a disappointment...beautiful Prime Rib cooked as requested, an amazing pork chop, lamb and risotto dishes. We were all very pleased! We ended the evening with desserts of a variety and again we were very pleased! Will definitely visit again soon!

I had very high expectations of this restaurant based off of the atmosphere when you walk in everyone was really kind. It was gorgeous beautiful so you’re expecting a very nice experience Unfortunately, for two people we paid $166 for our meal. Prime rib was overcooked on one side burnt, and on the other side it was medium rare with red I asked for medium The steak itself was $55 so I was really disappointed. They had no sides except for a carrot mash which I traded for polenta which they just spread across the plate so it wasn’t necessarily aside I’ve barely had any. Headline: Fine Dining comes to Elk Grove. Location: Taking over the old location of Macaroni Grill off Laguna, Interlude is a nice restaurant to open at this location with a prime location off the freeway, lots of parking and close to many eating options. Interlude gave a face lift to the building but it's not just limited to the exterior. The inside has a nice refresh and an open main dining area with an open view of the kitchen. Service: Interlude had recently open in this past week so it felt like we got a chance to try this place during its early opening. The food, atmosphere and service were great!! Justin greeted my friend and I with pleasure even at the end of a busy night (Valentines Day) and was happy to share a conversation with us. Our server Dom was a class act! He was personable, friendly, and attentive. We had a memorable and fun night, the food and drinks were amazing! Thank you Justin and Dom!
