Indochen Old Town

Greeted with a smile upon entry. Atmosphere warm and inviting. Passing plates of tables here before us everything looked and smelled good. Vijay was our waiter. Service was amazing. My water was never empty. Empty plates always cleared. He checked on us several times, and always had a smile. The food was great too: I got the rack of lamb medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The flavor of the spices on the lamb and the mint sauce paired well. Our table shared the Tikka Masala—has a great flavor—Butter Chicken was comforting and pleasant. The chef Pritam delivered on excellent food. We will be back. Thank you Indochen.

Safe fresh Indian food. Not for real Indian food lovers. This is where you bring people who are hesitant to try Indian food. The flavors are present but muted. The food is very fresh though. The Mango Avocado salad was surprisingly delicious. Everything else was solid but not super flavorful and not spicy. They brought out their spicy sauce with a warning “be careful this is very hot” and it was barely medium. We got the orange sauce fried shrimp appetizer and the verdict was the same: fresh but muted flavors. Lovely service. Great prices!

We were one of three parties and service was still slow. The food is just okay, very standard Indian food but nothing special. The Gobi manuchurian was really good but the portion was so small.

We went to this Indian restaurant some time back and wow everything was beyond amazing. The food was so flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell they use quality ingredients and care about what they serve. The restaurant itself was super clean and had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Everyone was so polite, attentive, and genuinely kind and hospitality oriented. It was honestly made the whole experience even fantastic. We’ll definitely be going back soon. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good food, great service, and a clean, classy spot to dine!

My birthday dinner was amazing, it came very quickly to the table as well. It was tasty with very large portion sizes so we had enough to take away. Vijay was our server and he was very pleasant and attentive. Would highly recommend this spot. Will definitely revisit when in Alexandria.
