I’ve been in these restaurants many times and enjoy it a lot. I still thinking the food is good. But is true that misleading the costumers with a 15 % service charge (that is not optional) doesn’t matter if is a take out is not right. They said is not to increase the price. I feel these increase the price. The easiest way for you to really know the price of any meal is every 20 dollars put 5 extra = 25 and tells you the real price of a meal. When you think that everything it would be 25 % (service charge + taxes) plus that what you see in the menu you can make a better decision if you want to eat there. I ended paying 26 dollars for one dish take away and no drink and they didn’t put the cutlery It seems the service charge doesn’t include these service.
This place was absolutely amazing, i’ve been meaning to go here for ages and it did not disappoint. The prices are a bit high, but it’s DC and the food is incredible. We got the spicy keema curry and the Indigo special, both of which were incredibly flavorful and delicious. Spice level is manageable and quite enjoyable. The mango lassi was also superb. I wish I had asked for plain rice, I didn’t realize that the rice would come with a chickpea sauce thing on top, but I blame that on user error rather than the restaurant.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is so nice at night. Seat yourself, order on the phone. The bartender is an artist!! Delicious food. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything Vegan is clearly labeled. Could not recommend more on a summer night!
Excellent food but not the best place ive been. really good portion. I wasn't a fan of having chickpeas with my rice. It was good but I rather not have them. I can't give a 4 star because prices are still a little too high for me and the side sauces from inside aren't the best Nice size place that seems to always be busy most the time. You order from a QR code and get drinks from the bar. Drinks are also up there. It might be a DC thing, but yeah. Menu is pretty basic to what you expect for a Indian restaurant but the do have a bunch a different types of naan. Other than food, it seems like an expensive place to get drinks. If it's in your budget for a $14 mix drink and a $8 beer, then good on you. I also didn't get a options to leave a cash tip. I think it's automatic?
I ordered a Chicken Tikka Meal and it was tasty, but the Nepalese food at home was even better flavorwise. The butter chicken was creamy and filling. Flavors at Himalayan Range are still better for that as well. The service was okay, mostly self-serve. I didn’t give it 5 stars because everything was disposable. The mango lassi was good, a little too rich for my taste. This just confirms that I’m spoiled at home with our authentic Nepalese cuisine.
