Indian Prairie Public Library

I’m a social worker in the area who helps low income individuals connect with community resources. Unfortunately they charge one dollar per fax here which my clients can’t afford. Sending documents to Social Security can be 20-30 pages depending on the document. Tried to see if they were willing to help with low income individuals or social workers, and a woman named Shannon B was extremely rude that I even asked. Be aware turn their nose to people who are there to try to use a resource in the community they should be ashamed. I hope Shannon B finds peace.

I love libraries in general however this one is super spacious. Since the remodel I love it even more. On every visit I'm amazed at how many more books 📚 and new technology that I see. If I could I would build a home out of a library and live there forever. It has and always will be my favorite place on earth 🌍.

My first time going there with my toddler. Very happy. The staff and specially Ms.Heather was very polite ,welcoming and helpful .My baby's got welcome sticker and she very excited .my daughter loved it.looking forward to go frequently

I had a great experience here. I went there with my dad and my son to rent a dvd. Because I didn't live in the area and was trying to use my library card, I wasn't able to check out the movie for my son. However, they suggested that my dad get a library card since he does live in the area. Lucas, a staff there, was wonderful and was very helpful. He was also very patient with us. He also advised me on how to link our cards. So I am very grateful!

This is a very nice building, however... there is way too much noise permitted throughout the library. Besides loud people gathered in the cafe area right next to the computers, people on the computers are allowed to talk with others and on their phones very loudly. One regular patron loudly laughs hysterically while on a computer while another regular loudly and distractingly slaps the back of his head continually. Positively, two employees, Bhargavi and Anthony, do a great job of professionally and courteously instructing loud patrons to be quiet. (Unfortunately, Bhargavi is no longer working.) Anyway, the noise disruptions, which are continually monitored and stopped at other local libraries, need to stop for the benefit of many patrons who need to and have the right to work and study i
