Indian Curry Kitchen

Been coming to this place on occasion since they were just the one store. Now they own a third of the strip mall. Good for them but I think I'll be limiting how often I go here if I go back at all. To start, the Naan and Porotta breads where both stale. We couldn't taste the garlic on the Naan bread. Shame as those are our favorite parts of the meal. The Samosas were ok but not crispy as they used to be. They didn't even come with a little sauce container on the side. The meals were good but the containers were well smaller than they used to be. I understand inflation costs but almost $20 per plate and I barely got a container or rice for them. Awful. Worst indian food I’ve ever had. The Sagg Chana smelled SO BAD when I opened it I lost my appetite. The smell alone makes me feel like I’m about to have diarrhea. There was also no dairy mentioned in the ingredients for the Sagg Chana but when it arrived, it was pretty much entirely heavy cream. People have dairy allergies so it would be worth mentioning if there is DAIRY in the food. When I called to let the restaurant know they didn’t even apologize. Not worth the price at all.

The food here is delicious. Freshly prepared, good variety of dishes. Friendly service. Generous portions and reasonably priced. You can take out or dine in. Highly recommend !

Really all that matters to me is if the food is good and it's kinda meh. My partner's family is from Kerala so I've had plenty of home cooked Kerala dishes and the sambar wasn't even close. It seems to be under seasoned but also even if there was enough salt the flavors are just off. The bread was good at least but I don't think I'll be back. Disappointing.

Very tasty. I love Indian food and live in the area, so I figured I try this. This is definitely one of the best restaurants, especially Indian, in Valley Cottage. Most of the prices for a meal is $15 to $25. The portions they provide are so large that comparing it to nearby restaurants’ portions this is like $40-50 meal. I bought Chicken Curry, Kerala Matta Rice, and Kerala Parotta Bread. It filled this bowl which is very large. All of this was $24.
