Imperial Garden

Its a dying business inside the mall and rightfully so. The food is drenched in sauce yet still lacks flavor. None of the meats or even veggies were seasoned or made fresh. They pulled it out the fridge and heated it up for a few seconds not even minutes. The rice sits out for hours and was cold and unflavored. My family is on a cross-country trip and this has to be the worst food we've had across the entire trip. I dont leave reviews but this one needs to be warned about so people dont waste their time or money. The staff are unfriendly and dont even know what they are serving. They got upset because we asked for fried rice not brown rice...they claim brown rice is fried rice. Im of Asian decent and this was horrid by all accounts. The food is subpar. No flavor, they are always out of things like ice or white rice?! The customer service from the older guy with the neck tattoo, Hes rude, or he tries to ignore you. Here's a suggestion, put him in the back adding some spices to the food.

I’ll start out by saying that the gentleman taking orders was fast and efficient. The food was served hot. My praise ends here. General Tso was ultra sweet with a yellow, flavorless sauce; not served with broccoli. Fried rice was nothing more than sticky white rice with a few carrots and peas mixed in. The chicken lo mein was absolutely disgusting. It was more akin to a noodle soup. Maybe the felines near the dumpster will enjoy it, assuming that they’re cannibals.

This was a great place to make a pit stop at. The food was good, served quick. All the staff were super friendly.

Fast service! Staff was nice to us. Portion Boxes were FULL! We ordered: General chicken combo dinner was OKAY BUT (needed more rice) Sweet & Sour chicken CHILD'S plate was NOT Good- dried out and lukewarm Beef & Broccoli CHILD'S plate was full, hot and YUMMY My ShrimpFried Rice order was Full of shrimp, perfect temperature, and sooooooo Delicious! Eating atmosphere in the middle of the mall right by the entrance was not something I found relaxing. Only Chinese food we could find in Hays, so hopefully you'll find something you'll like 👍
