What a great spot! Unfortunately I don't go here as often as I should. The food was fantastic, prices are fair and the service was awesome! My manicotti was absolutely amazing! They also have a great menu that has something for everyone. If you haven't been, you only have blame, just try not to be mad at yourself for not going sooner.
food was fine, however when we were on our long drive from out of state, we called ahead to ask if they accept gift cards from another illianos (middletown specifically) and they said yes and that any gift cards could be used for any illianos restaurant so we came by for dinner. when it was time for us to pay we give her the gift cards and she says they can’t accept them at this location and could only be used in middletown. i believe they should have honored what they said on the phone especially since i would have not eaten there if they had not taken the gift card :( lucky we had our credit card to pay another way …
I have been coming to here for decades always was a fan. I ordered rigatoni vodka and added shrimp for $8 which I was fine with. After I received the entree there were only 2 shrimp. 4 bucks a shrimp for a local pizza joint is a bit much. I also see the numerous tipping screens when getting take out which only means the owners don't want to pay the employees but would like the consumers to assist with their wage. After close to 30 years it's time to say goodbye.
We used to eat here all the time up until about a year ago when one of the staff was really rude about my partners allergies when she had eaten here before. We decided to give it another try and while the service was okay, the food was pretty mediocre for the price. The cheeseburger grinder was literally just those frozen hamburger patties with cheese and lettuce. I mean no pickles, no sort of sauce or dressing. My gfs pasta was swimming in oil. General rule of thumb, your customers are paying to eat something they cant make at home for a fraction of the price. Don't serve them lazy food that ends in a $50 bill (before tip). Id pass on this place. Not as good as it used to be. Edit: due to the response: dropped another star due to the remarks made. "Not sure why you took the time to...." s
The bread was the best thing. Spoons were nice and circle. The food portions were huge that my friend has gone crazy. He couldn’t finish his pasta but decided to get desert. Our server was so nice and lovely. Don’t eat carbonara with spaghetti. Water was amazing.
